Saskatchewan Beef Expo has become one of the essential beef events for youth in Saskatchewan combining demonstrations and educational seminars by industry experts.
This year we are excited to welcome “Agnes” the Western College of Veterinary Medicines anatomically correct cattle birthing simulator. Other events throughout the week-end include “Educational Opportunities” presented by Sun West Distance Learning Center; and “Farm to Feedlot” the journey of the feedlot calf, and the new “Sales Talk” competition.
Evaluating livestock is a critical element for producers when choosing animals for their herd and the Saskatchewan Beef Expo is again having a Team Judging competition where participants will work as team to evaluate and justify their placings to the audience.
Day two will consist of a Youth Steer & Heifer Show enabling participants the opportunity to showcase their 4-H and junior show projects.
