SASKATOON, Saskatchewan – The Prairieland Junior Ag Showcase held at the Prairieland Park Ag Centre, began on July 3 and wrapped up on July 8 with the excitement of the steer sale.
This event features almost 300 4H youth between the ages of 9 and 21 competing in both individual and team competitions. It was a busy week again with competitions featuring Light Horse, Beef, Dairy, Sheep, Showcase of Arts, team grooming and Jr. Judging.
“It continues to be an absolute pleasure to host this amazing group of 4H members for this annual event” said Prairieland Park Agriculture Manager, Lori Cates. “The quality of animals, the ability of the participants to care for and show their animals, and the examples of camaraderie and sportsmanship we see with these kids remarkable”. The event concluded with the 4-H Steer and Market Lamb Sale on Monday, July 8
