SASKATOON, Saskatchewan – The Prairieland Junior Ag Showcase held at the Prairieland Park Ag Centre, began on July 3 and wrapped up on July 9 with the excitement of the steer sale.

This event features almost 300 4H youth between the ages of 9 and 21, competing in both individual and team competitions. This year’s event included competitions featuring Light Horse, Beef, Dairy, Sheep and Showcase of Arts. Team Grooming and Jr Judging rounded out the week’s events.

“It is an absolute pleasure hosting this outstanding group of young people for this event,” said Prairieland Park Agriculture Manager, Lori Cates. “The quality of animals, the ability of the participants to care for and show their animals, and the examples of camaraderie and sportsmanship we see with these kids is remarkable”.
