Western Canadian Crop Production Show cancelled for 2021

With the continued presence of Covid-19, it is with much disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the upcoming Western Canadian Crop Production Show at Prairieland Park. For 37 years we have hosted this show in January, along with other agriculture organizations, welcoming producers from across the prairies to Saskatoon, to view the latest in farm equipment and technology. The show is also a meeting place for business and the agriculture community alike.

The Western Canadian Crop Production Show is an important economic driver to the province, to tourism in Saskatoon, and to the local economy.

Strategically placed in January, the show highlights the most advanced technology and products for farmers as they plan for the upcoming growing season. Seminars and meetings held throughout the city feature experts in agronomy, research, and business information. WCCP is a central part of the city’s “Agriculture Business Week” declared annually.

This very difficult decision has been made in consultation with the Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Health Authority and is in light of the growing number of Covid-19 cases throughout the province. Our focus is on the safety and health of our many staff, our event patrons and the amazing exhibitors and sponsors that attend the show – many of whom have been with us for all 37 years.
Thank you to all that have supported the show throughout the years and to those that worked diligently to try to plan a show for this year. We are committed to supporting agriculture in Saskatchewan and look forward to bringing you the Western Canadian Crop Production Show in 2022.
