Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation (Prairieland) is a leader in developing and hosting a diverse range of trade shows, conventions, conferences, industry expos, live entertainment shows, and signature events, including the Saskatoon EX. About the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a member of the executive team and provides strategic management of the accounting, finance and information systems functions. The CFO has direct responsibility for managing the insurance portfolio and the corporation’s risk management program. The CFO is a key contributor to the corporation’s strategic planning and business planning processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic management of the accounting, finance and information systems functions
- Direct accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
- Prepare the corporation’s financial statements; report on all monthly, quarterly and annual financial results
- Oversee the preparation of annual operating budgets and capital budgets
- Oversee financial and information systems, implementations and upgrades
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and other key vendors and partners
If you are a leader who is entrepreneurial, innovative and collaborative by nature, this is a great role for you. To prepare for this role, you will have a CPA designation (CMA background is an asset), ten years of related experience and five years of senior leadership experience. Knowledge of Sage 300 is also required. Strong analytical, financial management, strategic planning and communication skills are key.

Are you a natural storyteller with a proud love for our city? We are looking for an energetic personality to be the official ‘face’ and digital voice of the 2026 Saskatoon EX. If you love being on camera, exploring new experiences, and sharing your adventures with a massive audience, this is your dream summer job. Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation is currently seeking a temporary full-time Saskatoon EX Ambassador summer student to join our team!
The Saskatoon EX is Saskatchewan’s largest summer festival, attracting more than 215,000 people annually to this eight-day event. The successful applicant will work closely with the Marketing & Signature Events Department to assist with the presentation of the Saskatoon EX.
To be successful in this role, effective communication and exceptional customer service are critical. The selected candidate will also bring a positive approach and heightened attention to detail with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
- Additional hours may be required as needs arise.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends when required, particularly during the Saskatoon EX, which runs from July 30 – August 6, 2026.
Job Duties:
- Act as the lead on-camera talent and roaming digital ambassador, sharing live, behind-the-scenes festival experiences and interacting directly with our community, which may include other community events in the lead-up to the Saskatoon EX.
- Collaborate closely with digital content strategy to brainstorm engaging social media campaigns, and work alongside the Marketing team to ensure all captured visual assets align with the overarching event aesthetic.
- Coordinate sponsorship fulfilment related duties to capture dynamic and organic digital storytelling. May include printing, designing promotions, etc.
- Immerse yourself fully in our fair, actively participating in the fun rather than just observing from the sidelines.
- Provide event planning support for the Saskatoon EX and related programs such as paraded, presale events, onsite ticketing, mascot assistance, and other duties as assigned.
- Work as support for the design/print aspects of the Marketing Department.
Job Requirements:
- Previous marketing and/or event planning experience / education an asset.
- Effective team player who is self-motivated, outgoing, and brings forth a positive attitude.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Essential to manage time effectively.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision if necessary.
- Working knowledge of Canva and periphery experience with Microsoft 365 and Adobe Create Cloud products is an asset.
- Knowledge of written communication standard practices is an asset.
Our ideal candidate will have a relatable, highly outgoing personality with a natural comfort being on camera, conducting spontaneous interviews. They will have an innate curiosity and an adventurous spirit; not afraid to try new things, taste new foods, or jump onto a midway ride for the perfect shot. A proven eye for engaging digital storytelling (experience with vlogging, TikTok, or Instagram reels is highly preferred).

Applicants must be available to work weekend, evening, and day shifts.
Duties:
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain inventory and control bar stock.
- Cashier duties.
- General cleaning duties.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders and preparing them efficiently.
- Follow policies to ensure safety of self, co-workers, and patrons.
Qualifications:
- Successful applicants must have the Serve it Right course and be able to provide the certificate.
- Must be 19 years of age.
