Agriculture Administrator

Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation is seeking a self-motivated, highly organized person to
fill the role of Agriculture Administrator.
Reporting to the Agriculture Manager, the Agriculture Administrator will perform various duties
associated with the development, preparation and implementation of the Corporation’s many
agricultural programs and coordination of Ag Center rentals.
This full-time role is 35 hours per week with regular work hours between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
from Monday to Friday. At times there will be a need to work varied hours, including evenings
and weekends, depending on the events taking place at Prairieland.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working with the Agriculture Manager to administer and execute agricultural events and
rentals, initiate contact with Ag Center clients, determine requirements for each event,
and provide on-site client support for rental events.
• Scheduling for Ag Center personnel.
• Give support to part time Ag Center personnel assigning tasks for setup/takedown of
events.
• Coordinate with agriculture committee members.
• Attend all committee meetings and record minutes.
• Coordinate show details with Prairieland departments.
• Assist in purchasing of prizes.
• Prepare printed material related to shows.
• Update and maintain Access database as necessary.
• Process livestock entries and generate event reports.
• Generate purchase orders and client invoices.
• Supervise 50/50 program at various events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong working knowledge of the agriculture industry.
• Extensive computer knowledge including MS Word, MS Access and MS Excel.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Effective project planning and time-management skills.
• Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to work as a member of a team and independently.
• Strong customer service focus.

Wage is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Prairieland offers a competitive

BEER GARDEN BARTENDERS

Prairieland is accepting applications for Beer Garden Bartenders for the
Saskatoon EX – August 6-11, 2024.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Successful applicants must have the Serve it Right Saskatchewan
    certification. Please attach your certificate with your resume.
  • Previous bartending experience is an asset.
  • Must consistently offer professional and friendly customer service.
  • Have the availability and flexibility to work all shifts scheduled from August
    6-11, 2024.
  • Be energetic and positive.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Communicate pleasantly and effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be punctual and reliable.

Preference will be given to applicants that are able to work all six days of the
Exhibition from August 6-11, 2024.

event staff

Prairieland is accepting applications, on a casual basis, for the following positions at SaskTel Centre and at Prairieland:

  • Ushers, Merchandise Sellers & Guest Services
  • Door Staff, Liquor Ticket Sellers, & Cashiers
  • Seasonal casual employment for different types of jobs (Glow move-in/move-out, coat check attendants, parking attendants, etc.)

These positions are casual and will include daytime, evening, and weekend shifts (shifts will vary based on the events schedule).  When working selling merchandise, doors, and/or guest services, there may be some outdoor shifts required. Applications can be emailed to contactus@prairielandpark.com
