Sports on Tap Server

Sports on Tap at Prairieland Park is hiring a part-time Server.  Applicants must be available to work day, evening and weekend shifts.  Reporting to the Manager – Sports on Tap the Servers ensure that a high level of service and a great customer experience are provided.

Duties:

  • Provide a high level of service of food and drink orders to guests
  • Maintenance of cleanliness on service floor and serving area
  • Cashier duties
  • Inventory
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Successful applicants must have the Serve it Right course and be able to provide their completion certificate
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Must have a strong commitment to customer service excellence
  • Must have the ability to communicate pleasantly and professionally with guests and co-workers
  • Be mature and dependable
  • Be physically fit
  • Previous serving experience is an asset
  • You must be able to work flexible schedules including days, evenings and weekends
  • Identify belligerent customers, and work with Management when needed to maintain a safe environment

Sports On Tap Supervisor

Sports on Tap at Prairieland Park is hiring a full-time Supervisor.  Applicants must be available to work day, evening and weekend shifts.  Reporting to the Manager – Sports on Tap the Supervisors ensure that a high level of service and a great customer experience are provided.

Duties:

  • Supervise food & beverage staff
  • Provide a high level of service of food and drink orders to guests
  • Maintenance of cleanliness on service floor and serving area
  • Cashier duties
  • Inventory
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Successful applicants must have the Serve it Right course and be able to provide their completion certificate
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Must have a minimum of two years bar and restaurant experience including bartending and serving experience
  • Must have a strong commitment to customer service excellence
  • Must have the ability to communicate pleasantly and professionally with guests and co-workers
  • Be mature and dependable
  • Must be able to lift full kegs of beer (162 lbs.)
  • Must be self-motivated and driven

Sports On Tap Cook (F/T)

Sports On Tap at Prairieland Park is hiring a full-time Cook.  Applicants must be available to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Operations Personnel

The Operations Department of Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation currently requires full-time Operations Personnel. 

The purpose of the Operations Personnel position is to provide specific services and support for all Prairieland events and their rental customers. The Operations Personnel are also involved in the overall operations and maintenance of all Prairieland Park facilities, grounds, equipment, and inventory.

The work schedule will vary from week to week depending upon the event’s schedule.  Evening, weekend shifts, and overnight shifts will be required. 

Duties will vary and can include:

  • In collaboration with Operations Department Staff, Event Coordinators, and customers, temporary installation and/or removal of material required for individual events in accordance with event specifications (to include: staging, carpet, drape, tables, chairs, décor material, and other equipment)
  • Materials handling (shipping/ receiving) of tradeshow-related materials, sign installation, and other services in accordance with event specifications
  • Monitoring of all building mechanical (lighting, temperature, electrical) for maintenance of facilities to ensure safety and comfort for all
  • Communication with co-workers and customers to ensure that all event requirements and event changes are completed to the customer’s satisfaction or passed on to the appropriate person to be addressed
  • General maintenance duties as assigned for upkeep of facilities and all property
  • Outdoor grounds maintenance duties as assigned. (Snow and ice removal, grounds sweeping, painting, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Must have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service
  • Must be a team player with proven ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with customers, co-workers and guests
  • Be well organized and able to establish and set work priorities and deadlines
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Previous experience operating forklifts, bobcats, scissor lifts and tractors is preferred.
  • Must be physically fit and energetic including and have the ability to lift and move heavy objects

Sports On Tap Bartender

Sports on Tap at Prairieland Park is in need of a Bartender.  This is a part-time position with the potential to become full-time.  Applicants must be available to work day, evening, and weekend shifts. 

Duties:

  • Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Maintain inventory and control bar stock
  • Cashier duties
  • General cleaning duties
  • Previous bartending experience is an asset
  • Provide excellent customer service by taking orders and preparing them efficiently
  • Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels and respond appropriately

Prairieland is accepting applications, on a casual basis, for the following positions at SaskTel Centre and at Prairieland:

  • Ushers, Merchandise Sellers & Guest Services
  • Door Staff, Liquor Ticket Sellers, & Cashiers
  • Seasonal casual employment for different types of jobs (Glow move-in/move-out, coat check attendants, parking attendants, etc.)
