Prairieland Supports Iconic Ag Bag Drag

Prairieland and the Agros host the legendary cabaret, a Saskatoon tradition
celebrating decades of agricultural advocacy that brings together the community/

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the legendary Ag Bag Drag, Prairieland is partnering with the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Agriculture and Bioresources students (the Agros). This landmark fall cabaret brings the community together to honour a monumental milestone in the local agricultural sector.

Rooted in a shared commitment to agricultural advocacy and education, Prairieland is thrilled to back this longstanding Saskatoon tradition, which has been running since 1951. The event serves as a major fundraising and community-building initiative for the Agros. A significant number of U of S agriculture alumni will be in attendance to celebrate the legacy of the event. To help make this celebration truly unforgettable, Prairieland is providing the students with exclusive use of The Stockyard seacan bar for the evening, adding a unique and elevated touch. In addition to venue and operational support, Prairieland is focused on bringing public awareness to the students’ landmark year and helping drive ticket sales.

“Supporting the Agros and the Ag Bag Drag aligns perfectly with our mandate to champion agriculture and agricultural education in our community,” says Prairieland Signature Events Director, Candace Schierling. “We are excited to share our space, our resources, and The Stockyard to ensure this 75th anniversary is the most successful one yet.”

Tickets are currently on sale. With an anticipated sell-out, alumni, supporters of the U of S College of Agriculture, and the broader community are encouraged to secure their tickets early and join the diamond anniversary celebration.
