Electrician
Bring your trade expertise to one of Saskatchewan’s most dynamic event environments. Prairieland is looking for a skilled, safety-minded Electrician who thrives in fast-paced settings and takes pride in delivering reliable power and exceptional service behind the scenes of unforgettable events.
In this role, you will hold the electrical permit under the Prairieland license and play a key part in powering events, supporting facility operations, and keeping critical systems running smoothly. From troubleshooting and repairs to preventative maintenance and event setup, your work will directly contribute to safe, seamless experiences for guests, clients, and staff.

The role is 40 hours per week with regular work hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. The selected candidate will also be on call as evening and weekend availability will be required from time to time.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that our client’s electrical requirements are met in a timely and professional manner, customer service is always the top priority.
- Ensure that all work is completed following proper safety guidelines.
- Organize, store and maintain all event related electrical equipment such as panels, cords etc. in a safe and orderly manner.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with facility equipment including HVAC, Lighting, Overhead doors, Breakers, etc.
- Complete scheduled work assignments in a timely manner.
- Identify problems and make recommendations for repairs or improvements.
- Organize and maintain electrical shop by keeping the shop clean and free of clutter.
- Ensure that tools are maintained and in good working order.
- Ensure that all electrical rooms are maintained in a clean and organized manner so that code requirements are met.
- Order parts as required.
- Communicate with couriers for delivery and pickups.
- Follow safety procedures and always use personal protective equipment as required.
- Assist in building maintenance and special projects designated by Management.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on projects to ensure timely completion of work.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support facility operations and event success
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Journeyperson Red Seal Electrician.
- Valid driver’s license; minimum Class 5.
- HVAC controls experience.
- Experience with a computerized maintenance management system for preventative maintenance and demand work orders.
- Experience working with fire and life safety systems.
- Safety conscious with a strong commitment to following procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations, emergency procedures, and WHMIS.
- Intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Suite.
- Attention to detail; e.g. ability to identify potential electrical equipment failure and assist with the development of preventative maintenance programs.
- Ability to diagnose problems and move to resolve problems quickly.
- Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional, positive team player who works well independently.
- Tactful, diplomatic, and exercises good judgment.
- Physically fit with a strong work ethic.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting tables for banquets.
- Serving guests.
- Follow up with guests to verify their satisfaction.
- Clear tables.
- Maintain cleanliness of serving floor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Consistently offer professional and friendly customer service.
- Able to work all shifts and flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
- Have an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task.

- Seasonal casual employment for different types of jobs (Glow move-in/move-out, coat check attendants, parking attendants, etc.)
