Ag Center Personnel
The Prairieland Ag Center of Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation currently requires casual Ag Center Personnel.
The Prairieland Ag Center is a year-round multi-purpose facility that caters to livestock shows and sales, equestrian events, and a variety of other agricultural uses.
The work schedule will vary from week to week depending upon the events schedule. Evening and weekend shifts will be required.
Duties:
- Prepare facility to host livestock events and events clean up.
- Set up and take down penning, stalls, and head stalls as required to accommodate livestock for events.
- Maintain cleanliness of building and grounds.
- Point of contact for client during events.
- Work with Operations Department to facilitate maintenance of equipment and building.
- Supervising of crew for set-up and clean-up of livestock events
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong desire to provide exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of the livestock industry, specifically equine related events, facilities, and services.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Analyze problems, provide information, and generate solutions with the assistance of the Agriculture Manager and Operations Department.
- Ability to operate equipment such as the area groomer, forklift, bobcat, loader, and tractor.
- Able to work mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.

Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation is seeking a self-motivated, highly organized professional to fill the role of Visual Design Marketing Coordinator.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Visual Design Marketing Coordinator creates cohesive visual assets for digital and print that amplify brand storytelling and ensure consistency across all platforms and live events.
To be successful in this role, effective communication, organization, and creative passion are critical. The selected candidate will also bring a positive approach and heightened attention to detail with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
This full-time role is 35 hours per week with regular work hours between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. At times, there will be a need to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on the events taking place at Prairieland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design graphics for social media, newsletters, websites, and event promotions.
- Produce print collateral such as brochures, posters, signage, tickets, and packaging.
- Develop and maintain brand identity elements (e.g. logos, color palettes, typography).
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure visual-messaging alignment.
- Prepare and optimize final files for print and digital production.
- Support live events with on-site branding, signage, and digital displays.
- Organize and manage design asset libraries and the branded templates.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Visual/Graphic Design, Marketing, or similar is an asset. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 3-5 years’ experience in visual/graphic design, marketing, or communications.
- Strong familiarity with CMS platforms; experience with programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Constant Contact, and Survey Monkey would be considered an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in the events industry would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of marketing, including familiarity with advertising and promotional strategies.
- Knowledge of basic design terminology, layout, and design standards.
- Resourceful with strong problem-solving skills.
- Pays close attention to detail, is self-motivated, and can multi-task.
- Strong commitment to exceptional customer service.
- An online portfolio of recent visual design work is required.

The Signature Events Department of Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation currently requires a Trade Show and Exhibits Coordinator to join our team.
Reporting to the Manger of Signature Events, the purpose of the Trade Show and Exhibits Coordinator is to administer, direct, and coordinate trade show exhibit space for Prairieland produced events including, but not limited to: The Saskatchewan Gardenscape, PopCon YXE, The Saskatoon Exhibition, and Oktoberfest. The role will also assist with Signature Events and services as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, process, and maintain online exhibitor and concessionaire applications.
- Maintain contact lists and database.
- Prepare print and online materials for exhibitors and concessionaires.
- Develop and maintain indoor and outdoor layouts and maps for exhibitors and concessionaires.
- Develop and maintain load in and load out schedules for exhibitors and concessionaires, in coordination with all relevant internal and external services as required.
- Develop and maintain working schedules for onsite show staff as required for load in/out and operating the event.
- Pursue new exhibitor/vendor opportunities.
- Front facing presence is required during event load in and operating hours for managing patrons and exhibitor inquiries during events.
- Coordinate related internal services required for specific events including, but not limited to, electrical, water, sign hanging, internet access, and camping access.
- Coordinate related external services required for specific events including, but not limited to display companies, inspections (SK Health Authority, electrical, fire), and other areas as required.
- Prepare, issue, track, and receive all exhibitor related invoices in coordination with the Accounting Department. This includes booth sales, commissions payments, and deposits.
- Other duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
- Postsecondary education in Events Management or similar is an asset. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 3-5 years’ experience in event management/planning
- SIRS & Service Best training considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional, positive, and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of convention, hospitality, and entertainment events, with experience organizing trade shows, live stage productions, and signature events.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access, WordPress, Office Suite and event management tools.
- Knowledge of standard safety regulations including Occupational Health & Safety, fire, SLGA, labor standards and emergency procedure.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Job Description/Duties:
- Maintenance of Prairieland grounds: cutting grass, whipper-snipping, irrigation duties, planting and maintenance of all seasonal plants and existing trees/shrubs, garbage clean up as required, weed control/ spraying and pest (gopher) control.
- Design and implement floral baskets, beds, containers, and seasonal displays.
- Apply soil mixtures and fertilizers.
- Inspect plant material for pests, insects and disease and apply appropriate corrective measures.
- Sound knowledge of plants, plant maintenance, soil disease, weeding, plant identifications and pruning.
Job Requirements:
- Must be between the ages of 15 and 30.
- Must have experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, and plant maintenance.
- Must have experience with operating grounds-keeping equipment, small hand tools and irrigation equipment.
- Must be physically fit to be able to perform heavy manual outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling/preparation, team management, customer service, and will be a collaborative team player who excels in a fast-paced environment.
The role is 80 hours per two weeks, and the work schedule will vary from week to week depending upon the business needs. Morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts will be required.
Duties:
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities.
- Hiring and training kitchen staff; facilitate ongoing training and education of menu items.
- Scheduling of all kitchen staff.
- Monitor and control food costs.
- Inventory management and quality control.
- Menu suggestions, planning, and creations.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen as per provincial and federal food safety laws.
- Monitoring equipment.
- Assist with the disciplinary process as required.

Qualifications:
- Must have 3 to 5 years’ experience in commercial food preparation.
