Operations Personnel (Full-Time)
The Operations Department of Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation currently requires full-time Operations Personnel.
Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the purpose of the Operations Personnel position is to provide specific services and support for all Prairieland events and their rental customers. The Operations Personnel are also involved in the overall operations and maintenance of all Prairieland Park facilities, grounds, equipment, and inventory.
To be successful in this role, Operations Personnel bring a positive approach and heightened attention to detail and quality when providing all required services. Efficiency and thoroughness are critical when producing multiple events. Record keeping is required for all services provided and inventory adjustments as needed.
The role is 40 hours per week and the work schedule will vary from week to week depending upon the events schedule. Evening, weekend, and overnight shifts will be required.
Duties:
- In collaboration with Operations Department Staff, Event Coordinators, and customers, temporary installation and/or removal of material required for individual events in accordance with event specifications to include staging, carpet, drape, tables, chairs, décor material, and other equipment.
- Materials handling (shipping/ receiving) of tradeshow related materials, sign installation and other services in accordance with event specifications.
- Monitoring of all building mechanical (lighting, temperature, electrical) for maintenance of facilities to ensure safety and comfort for all.
- Communication with co-workers and customers to ensure that all event requirements and event changes are completed to the customer’s satisfaction or passed on to the appropriate person to be addressed.
- General maintenance duties as assigned for upkeep of facilities and all property.
- Outdoor grounds maintenance duties as assigned. (Snow and ice removal, grounds sweeping, painting, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service.
- Must be a team player with proven ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with customers, co-workers, and guests.
- Be well organized and able to establish and set work priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience operating forklifts, bobcats, scissor lifts and tractors is preferred.
- Must be physically fit, energetic, and have the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Forklift certification is considered an asset.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.

The Prairieland Ag Center of Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation currently requires casual Ag Center Personnel.
The Prairieland Ag Center is a year-round multi-purpose facility that caters to livestock shows and sales, equestrian events, and a variety of other agricultural uses.
The work schedule will vary from week to week depending upon the events schedule. Evening and weekend shifts will be required.
Duties:
- Prepare facility to host livestock events and events clean up.
- Set up and take down penning, stalls, and head stalls as required to accommodate livestock for events.
- Maintain cleanliness of building and grounds.
- Point of contact for client during events.
- Work with Operations Department to facilitate maintenance of equipment and building.
- Supervising of crew for set-up and clean-up of livestock events
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong desire to provide exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of the livestock industry, specifically equine related events, facilities, and services.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Analyze problems, provide information, and generate solutions with the assistance of the Agriculture Manager and Operations Department.
- Ability to operate equipment such as the area groomer, forklift, bobcat, loader, and tractor.
- Able to work mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.

Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation is seeking a self-motivated, highly organized person to fill the role of Agriculture Center Rentals Coordinator.
Reporting to the Agriculture Manager, the Agriculture Center Rentals Coordinator is a proactive rentals specialist overseeing facility bookings, client contracts, staff scheduling, and on-site operations at the Ag Center.
To be successful in this role, effective communication and providing exceptional customer service are critical. The selected candidate will also bring a positive approach and heightened attention to detail with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
This full-time (35-hour) role offers a seasonal schedule that aligns with peak periods, events, and operational needs as follows:
– November through March: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with evening / weekend flexibility as required.
– April through October: Thursday to Monday, varying hours depending on event schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Always provide exceptional customer service along with an understanding of the commercial goals of the business as a whole.
- Manage all rental inquiries and draft, negotiate, and finalize client contracts and bids for facility bookings.
- Coordinate the Ag Center event calendar; schedule dates, allocate spaces, and assign staff for rental events.
- Liaise with clients to confirm event logistics, special requirements, and billing arrangements.
- Oversee event setup and teardown for all rentals, and ensuring facilities meet client specifications for all events.
- Administer the winter boarding program: negotiate barn partnerships, schedule arena times, calculate fees, and collect payments.
- Supervise urban camp programs and other group activities during event setup, execution, and cleanup.
- Implement and manage the 50/50 ticketing program: organize group sales, track distributions, and reconcile revenue.
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of signature Ag events (e.g. Ag Experience and Garden Experience) and attend all committee meetings.
- Generate and process purchase orders for staffing, equipment, and supplies.
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in Events Management or similar is an asset. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a rental or event coordinator role.
- Strong working knowledge of the agriculture industry.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and event management tools and applications.
- Effective project planning and time-management skills.
- Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Strong commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Valid driver’s license required.

- Seasonal casual employment for different types of jobs (Glow move-in/move-out, coat check attendants, parking attendants, etc.)
