state-of-the-art stadium being planned

Prairieland is working to create a home for the largest and most popular sport on the planet! Living Skies Sports & Entertainment and Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation have partnered to build a soccer stadium for the Saskatoon Canadian Premier League (CPL) team – the newest franchise team to the league.

Converting the former Marquis Downs track and grandstand, this new stadium will be home to not only the first franchise professional soccer team in the province but nearly 80% of the stadium usage time will be made available for amateur sports and community events. The average attendance for each CPL game will be between 5,000 and 5,800. Approximately 1,200 parking stalls could be added to the site to accommodate patrons.

Our recent SREDA Economic Impact Study estimated the stadium will generate $6.07 million in operations and tourism in its first year – and over $83 million in ten years.

online community meeting

An online community meeting regarding the proposed soccer stadium at Prairieland has been planned and we’re inviting the public to join us! Daryl Dawson, City Planning Manager, will run the meeting. Following the presentation, Allan Sorowski, Prairieland Director of Facilities & Operations, will be on-hand for a Q&A session.
